It's a key component of emotional strength, along with resilience , self-awareness, and effective communication skills. Islam also places a strong emphasis on emotional intelligence and self-control. Imran sat at his desk, feeling frustrated as he looked at his computer screen. As a software engineer, his job was demanding and often required long hours of work. His thoughts turned to his wife, Rubina, who was at home taking care of their two young children. Rubina loved being a stay-at-home mom, but Imran knew she often felt lonely and isolated. Suddenly, without warning , the door to Imran's office burst open and his boss, Mr Khan, stormed in. "Imran, we have to have a talk," Mr Khan said gravely. "Your performance has been slipping and the calibre of your work is not meeting our standards." Imran's fury boiled over. He had been putting in extra hours and doing his best, but he couldn't understand why his boss was berating him. "I apologize, Mr Khan," Imran said through clenched teeth. ""I've been putting in a lot of effort and trying my best.". I don't understand what you want from me." Mr Khan looked at him

It was a hot summer day, and Zafar and Hina were enjoying a picnic together in the park. As they munched on sandwiches and sipped cold drinks, Hina noticed that Zafar seemed a little distracted. "Is everything okay, Zafar?" she asked. Zafar sighed and looked up at her, his eyes glued to his phone . "Sorry, Hina. I just can't seem to focus today. My mind keeps wandering to all sorts of things." Hina chuckled and gently took the phone out of his hand. "I think I know what the problem is. You're always on your phone ! It's like you can't help but get distracted all the time." Zafar blushed and put his phone away. "You're right, Hina. I'm sorry. I'll try to stay present with you." Hina smiled and took his hand. "I appreciate that, Zafar. Let's just enjoy this beautiful day together." And with that, Zafar put aside his phone and focused on the present, enjoying the rest of the picnic with Hina. The moral o

It involves paying attention to one's thoughts and feelings, as well as to the surrounding environment, in a non-reactive way. Mindfulness can be practiced through various techniques, such as meditation, yoga, and mindful breathing. There are many benefits to practicing mindfulness, both for the mind and the body . One of the main benefits is stress reduction. When we are mindful, we are able to recognize and let go of thoughts and emotions that are causing stress, rather than getting caught up in them. Overcoming the Language Barrier through Friendship and Persistence Maheen and Hira were two Pakistani neighbours who had always dreamed of becoming fluent in English. They often sat at the kitchen table, sipping on their tea and discussing their struggles with the language. "It's hard to imagine we're in our late forties and still don't speak English fluently," Maheen said, feeling frustrated by her lack of progress. "When my husband and children speak English so fluently and I have trouble understanding them, it's so embarrassing." Hira nodded sympathetically. " I know what you mean . My husband is always correcting my grammar, and it's so frustrating. I wish there was a way we could learn English without having to go back to school." Maheen thought for a moment. "Well, we have two options. We could take online classes or hire a tutor. That way, we could have one-on-one instruction and really focus on our weaknesses." The two
