In the Quran, it says: "O you who have believed, be persistently standing firm in justice, witnesses for Allah, even if it be against yourselves or parents and relatives." (4:135) This verse teaches us to be fair and just, even if it goes against our own interests or the interests of our loved ones. This requires a strong sense of self-control and emotional intelligence–the ability to recognize and regulate our emotions, even when they may be tempting us to act in a certain way.


In addition, Islam teaches us to be patient and trust in Allah's plan. "And be patient, for indeed, Allah is with the patient." (2:153) This requires a strong emotional foundation, as it can be difficult to remain patient and trusting when faced with challenges or adversity. The Quran teaches us to remain patient and trust in Allah's plan. Developing these skills can help us navigate life's challenges with grace and resilience. 



What can you do to improve your emotional intelligence and build emotional strength?

There are several ways to build emotional strength, such as practising mindfulness, seeking support, setting boundaries, learning from your emotions, and cultivating gratitude. Engaging in activities like exercise, meditation (مراقبہ), and Salah can also help manage stress and improve emotional well-being.

It's important to note that being emotionally strong doesn't mean you never experience negative emotions. In fact, it's normal and healthy to feel a range of emotions. Emotional strength is about being able to recognize, understand, and regulate your emotions, rather than suppressing or ignoring them.

Effective communication is also crucial for building and maintaining healthy relationships. This involves being able to express your thoughts and feelings in a clear and assertive way, as well as being a good listener and showing empathy towards others.



Overall, cultivating emotional strength is an ongoing process that requires self-awareness and effort. By working on your emotional intelligence and communication skills, you can become better equipped to handle life's ups and downs and build strong, fulfilling relationships.
